How To Make Your Own Ginger Shots
Ginger has plenty of proven health benefits including boosting your immunity and working as an anti-inflammatory. One quick and easy way to get a fresh dose of ginger is with a Ginger Shot.
Step 1 – Peeling
Use a potato peeler to remove the skin from the ginger root.

Step 2 – Grating
Use a grater (small holes) to shred the ginger root.

Step 3 – Juicing
Using either a cheese cloth or a garlic press, squeeze the ginger pulp into a glass to extract the juice.

Step 4 – Diluting
Depending on how strong you like it, pour the ginger juice into a shot glass and add water.

Bonus – Lemon Juice
If the taste is too sharp, add a squeeze of lemon juice to the shot before drinking it.

Additional Information
Once a ginger shot has been made it can last up to 48 hours in the fridge. The ginger root (unpeeled) can be stored in the fridge for around a week, and longer if wrapped tightly and stored in the freezer.
Remember that the ginger will settle if mixed with water, so be sure to give it a quick stir before drinking!
